Meet the Los Angeles Team Behind Warmline Insulation Co.

Most of what goes wrong in an attic or crawl space happens out of sight, so the person doing the work matters more than the material they’re carrying up the ladder. Our Los Angeles crew has spent years in the specific mess of Southern California homes: 1920s bungalows in Highland Park with zero framing consistency, mid-century track houses in the Valley with odd truss spacing, and stucco boxes near the coast that trap moisture in ways nobody planned for. They’re background-checked, uniformed, and by now they’ve seen just about every unreasonable thing a previous contractor left behind. You’ll know them by name, not by a job number.

Our People

Marcus T. - Lead Technician, Attic and Air Sealing Specialist

Marcus has been with Warmline Insulation Co. since 2014, starting when half his jobs involved undoing what DIY fiberglass batts had done to Attic ventilation. He’s our lead on attic insulation and air sealing, and he holds Owens Corning’s certified installer credential along with a Building Performance Institute certification for envelope diagnostics. If there’s a soffit baffle question that two other companies got wrong, Marcus is the one who fixes it. He grew up in El Sereno and still measures every job with the same habit his grandfather, a finish carpenter, taught him: check the corners first. He’s the guy who’ll sketch the airflow problem on a scrap of cardboard before asking for permission to start.

Ray D. - Senior Installer, Spray Foam and Radiant Barrier

Ray has run spray foam and radiant barrier installations across Los Angeles County for over a decade, and he’s the reason we don’t flinch when a 1948 home in Pasadena turns out to have wallpaper over plaster over newspaper over surprise. He’s certified on Icynene and Demilec spray foam systems, and he’s done countless radiant barrier jobs in the San Fernando Valley where attic temperatures hit 140 degrees in August. Ray is particular about gun temperature and lift pressure in ways that sound tedious until you realize he’s the difference between an even foam application and a job that has to be redone. He coaches youth soccer in Lincoln Heights on weekends and once repaired a neighbor’s water heater for a plate of tamales.

Jenny S. - Service Coordinator, Los Angeles

Jenny is the voice on the phone at (213) 782-8141, which means she’s the person who answers at 7 a.m. when you found a raccoon in the crawl space, and the person who calls you back at 8 p.m. when a crew finishes late in West Adams. She’s been coordinating jobs for our Los Angeles service area since 2017. Before Warmline, she dispatched HVAC crews across the basin, so she knows that a crew stuck on the 405 is just a fact of local life, not an excuse. Jenny tracks material deliveries, permit questions for crawl space encapsulation, and keeps the single-visit schedule honest. She has a small obsession with Glendale’s Armenian bakeries and brings enough boreg to the shop that nobody complains about Monday mornings.

Devon P. - Apprentice Installer, Blown-In Insulation and Crawl Space Work

Devon joined us in 2022 after two years framing in Sun Valley, and he’s the youngest member of the Los Angeles crew. He’s training under Marcus on blown-in insulation and under Ray on crawl space encapsulation and vapor barrier work. Devon earned GreenFiber’s blown-in installer certification last year, and he’s already the best on the team at reading coverage charts and calibrating the blower for tight attics with shallow joist bays. He’s originally from Long Beach, so coastal humidity makes sense to him in a way it doesn’t to people who’ve never watched a vapor barrier fail after one wet season. Off the clock he rebuilds old Japanese motorcycles and has strong opinions about the proper way to pack a knee wall.

One Standard, Every Job

Warmline Insulation Co. has served Los Angeles and the surrounding communities since 2011, and the rule we’ve kept from day one is simpler than it sounds: the person under your roof is a named, background-checked technician, not a rotating cast. Neil Ashford, Owner, sets that standard himself. He still walks jobs in Los Angeles when a house is old enough to surprise us, and he signs off on every closed-out project, because the 90-Day Done Right Promise only works if the people doing the work believe it’s a real promise. If something isn’t right, we make it right. Not a contractor-speak version of that: someone goes back, opens the hatch, and fixes it.

Every Los Angeles crew member catches the same briefing before a job starts: what the energy audit found, where the air leaks are, which material the homeowner approved, and how the finish should look. We run Owens Corning, Rockwool, CertainTeed, Icynene, Demilec, Johns Manville, Knauf, and GreenFiber materials because we can stand behind their performance, and because our installers know exactly how each one behaves in the local heat. Most jobs are completed in a single visit. If you want to know who’s coming to your house before they ring the bell, call (213) 782-8141 and ask. Jenny will tell you.
